Contrast announce Break up (posted 21st August 2005)

On Tuesday 16th August 2005, James announced the break-up of Contrast. The band had been progressing quickly over recent months, and were attracting much attention. However, several issues resulted in the split, including that the members had different wants and needs from the band, had different views on the directions it was going, and could afford varying degrees of commitment. It was, therefore, agreed that a break-up would be the best option.

Acoustic set loved by the French (posted 21st July 2005)

During the second festival that Contrast played in France representing Kent, after playing a usual high-tempo loud electric set, Contrast played an acoustic set on a smaller stage. Despite having never played an acoustic set live, or in practice before, the French fans loved it! They were trying to sing along as best they could to Contrast's own songs, and with the band throwing in a couple of covers which the audience knew, it was a great success. Totally off-the-cuff, but very enjoyable. Our faces are now on a number of  French cameras.
